A caring member of the public found one-year-old Charlie the American staffy cross abandoned at a dog park. Found with a note on his collar, they brought Charlie into the RSPCA for care. The note left with Charlie implied if he stayed where he was that he would be harmed.
Charlie isn’t the only pet that has been abandoned this year. The cost-of-living crisis has led to an increase in abandonment reports of all types of animals to the RSPCA. Your support allows us to offer a safe haven for animals like Charlie, providing them with the care and protection they need to get a second chance at life.
Initially, Charlie struggled with shelter life, but he began to relax and come out of his shell after spending time with people in the RSPCA offices. Now, Charlie is living with loving foster parents, Andrew and Michelle, where he can adjust to life in a home while he waits to find his forever family. Your support makes stories like Charlie’s possible, giving abandoned animals the love and care they deserve.
In the past year, animal loving RSPCA lottery supporters have contributed approximately ten million dollars nationally towards our cause. That makes an incredible difference to the lives of animals in need! RSPCA relies on generosity from the community right across Australia which is why your support is so critical. Your ticket purchase in an RSPCA lottery is essential in helping us keep the door open to animals that have no where else to turn.
